Well, I thought I should update everyone. I am doing terrific. I have lost 35 pounds so far. I am going to the gym three times per week and working out. I have so much more energy and i just feel wonderful.

Well....I survived~ Hahaha! Actually my surgery went awesome and I got out of the hospital on Thursday! My surgery was delayed several hours. I was suppose to be scheduled for about 11:15 am, but I sat in the day unit until about 4:30. They took me to the holding area, and didn't even stop there, just wisked me into OR. I visited with the awesome staff there a bit, and the next thing I knew I was in recovery! Last Saturday, I smashed my little toe into our ottoman, and it hurt like crazy...still does...that whole episode was 20 times more painful than surgery/recovery. I have spend the day doing pretty much nothing except resting and eating the required diet! No complaints so far, and would go through this again in a heart beat! I got tons of support from people here and through friends. My hospital, Meritcare, has this program where you can email a patient. I guess I have the record for receiveing the most emails!!!! Pretty neat concept! Will update more later, but going awesome for right now!!! Tracy

Well....Tomorrow is the big day. I am ready. I am a bit nervous,,,can't sleep tonight. I woke up at 4, and thought I'd just get up. I am ready for this to happen, but just a bit nervous. Not scared...just nervous. I met with the dietician and Dr. Howell on Wednesday for my pre-op. Everything was just fine. The dietician said that I am really ready, and prepared for this. That made me feel really good, as I have really tried to follow everything that they had recommended. Yea!!!

Tracy - I had surgery with Dr. Howell in October of 2004. You are in good hands. Wishing you the best and you are no doubt getting excited to have the surgery complete. I'm interested in how you are doing so email or post when you feel up to it. Jan
