"Dr. Fry is a very nice gentleman. He treated me intelligently -- like I actually have a brain and know how to use it. So many Doctors treat me like an idiot. His nurse Neets is very helpful and extremely competent in her work. I am looking forward to a pleasant experience with the doctor and staff. Dr. Fry explained the VBG and Roux-en-Y procedures very thoroughly giving both the pros and cons of both. He prefers the VBG, but I want the RNY and he is going to do that. He clearly explained aftercare and what kind of diet is necessary for recovery and beyond. He answered all my questions very completely. Dr. Fry is still in the process of building a support-group system. But he has a list of resources outside of his practice, and involves my Primary Care Physician with the pre-op period and recovery. I feel that surgical competence is most important, but beside manner is also necessary."
