"I met with Dr. Hung on Monday, November 4th. My first impression was that he was a very kind, knowledgeable doctor. He was happy that I had researched gastric bypass surgery so much and knew what needed to go on and was familiar with the surgery. He went over my paperwork, asked some questions, and said that it appeared that I was a good candidate for surgery. I really liked his nurse, Lisa, too. She was very nice and made me feel very welcome and good about the visit. She made all the appointments with the pulmonologist and the neuropsychologist and the dietician for me. Hopefully I'll get notification that insurance has approved the surgery.
Dr. Hung described the support group that is relatively new here in Lincoln. He emphasized the importance of being in contact with others who are preop and post op. I'm looking forward to attending the meetings. Dr. Hung was also very honest on the surgery and possible complications. I know that things can go wrong, but he was very good about explaining the precautions they take before, during and after surgery. All in all, my feeling about Dr. Hung is great and I'm glad he'll be doing the surgery."
