Jaime - Looks like you and I are right there together. My surgery date is 7/15. I'm sending lots of positive thoughts and well wishes your way for an uneventful surgery and very speedy recovery :-)

Jaimee, Hey there, what to bring, as a past WLS patient @ Lenox Hill, my suggestions: lip balm, wet wipes, clothes to go home in, toothbrush & paste, a brush, mouthwash, a fan and PATIENCE! Nothing more nothing less. You really wouldn't need much of anything else. No robe, no slippers, you will be happy in your giant blue gownand the socks with traction on the bottom. Some rooms are weird with temp, so, I benefited from bringing a little fan. Oh, yeah, and I brought my pillow from home. Good Luck to you.

Lip balm!!! I love Carmex, but any will do. You'll be glad you had it. Alos, I enjoyed having my own shower gel and shampoo from home...the hospital's stuff smells like...well, a hospital lol. Good luck. You'll be so happy to be a loser!!!

Hi Jaime, How exciting about your upcoming surgery date! I know you're nervous now, but it will all be over soon and you'll be so glad you did it! I had my Lap RNY on 2-24-03 and am down 86 lbs so far! I'm just thrilled and feel SOOOO MUCH BETTER! Hang in there! It will all be worth it! Debbie Wittig
