"I had heard good things about Dr. Allen from my PCP. He teaches at University Hospital in Louisville and is the only one here who does lap procedures. I also correspond with a patient of his in Tennessee who came to Ky so she could have him do the adj gastric band procedure. She loves it and has lost 50 lbs in 5 months with only one fill. He's young (looks just like my son), very laid back, comes across as quite confident which I like. I know many nurses who also attest to his reputation and competency. He says I will have to see him the rest of my life for follow-up. He was very up front about the risks. I can tell he really believes in the adjustable gastric band as the WLS of the future. As far as rating him - he's up there."
