Linda 09/05 12:33 PM PDT I feel SOOOO good today. I want to town and I saw a ex-co-worker that I worked with for over 10 yrs.and I had not seen her in over 7 yrs.She was in the ck-out line and I said hi to her and she didn,t recognize me until I spoke and she knew my voice. ( I have a childlike voice ). Definitely when you loss 105 pounds go from a 26 / 24 to and 8/10 it shows. My mother has gone back to Florida after spending four months with me for the summer. She is very demanding and I thought I was going to lose my mind on some days. But I just had to walk away from her on occasions just to keep myself in control. She did not want me on the computer, walking or swimming, or doing anything just be with her do nothing. Shamefully to say the day she left I did a happy dance. This has been definitely a ( Carbohydrate Summer ) my mother is a pasta and bread lover. And I have been struggling hard all summer to keep myself under control from carb,s it has been very difficult.I,m so gald to get back into a normal routine. I am now able to read the message board daily and post well wishes to the surgery support page. The past few days I have seen so many inspirational weight losses from so many people. It fills my heart with joy to know that the surgery has helped so many. Gone are the days when they just wired your mouth shut and thought this was going to be a miracle cure for the obese. Now with this new tool that we have been given along with education and understanding of food this is a new beginning of a normal life for all of us. My prayers are with everyone to have a safe and beautiful weekend. Charlene -- Charlene W
