"I am 6 weeks post op. I started on this journey at 302lbs. My surgery was on 1/28/03. I am now at 266lbs. I feel good. Dr. Kasper is a wonderful surgeon. My first impression after meeting with him was he really was conserned for me and that I was making this choice for the right reason and not a quick fix for dieting. This is a total life change, from eating to how you feel about you. I think that at the time I was getting approved for my surgery Dr. Kasper was moving offices and going through person experiences and some how a test result that I should have been contacted about was over looked. He did not speak with me about this and I was unprepared for the type of surgery he was planning to do. I had been thinking all along that I was getting VGB and he was thinking all along RNY. We spoke the night before surgery and I decided to go ahead and have the RNY bypass. I just think that every detail needs to be followed up before the surgery date. I did great, I feel good, and he made the best choice for my needs, before/ during/ & after. I know I'll be a healthier person now. "
