"I went in for a consultation with Dr. BC today. I like him. I let him go through his presentation. Afterwards, he very patiently answered all of my question or told me how to get them answered. My son and husband were with me, and he answered their questions as well.
I especially liked his answer about why he does this kind of surgery. His answer was that WLS patients are the happiest patients he knows and he gets a lot of job satisfaction from helping them. I thought it was a very sincere answer.
He gave me his card and said that I should call him if I have any more questions.
He and the patient representation went over much of what would happen post surgery. No more aspirin and no pop for 6 months. WOW.
There was one drug that my PCP had prescribed for weight loss that he wanted me to discontinue. But, he wanted me to talk to her about it first.
I really liked him.
The BTC hospital is obviously old. It is the old Beyer Hospital. However, there is a log of remodeling going on.
It was so nice to see chairs that were meant for people of size.
There are support groups and I plan to visit them.
