Yeah! You go girl! I'm so proud of you. Now you are off and "running". Take care of yourself and let your body heal in the days ahead. You made it and now you can enjoy being a big loser - lol! I'm anxious to hear from you as I developed a nasty cold on Sunday and didn't think you'd appreciate my "germs" all over the hospital room. Still, I'd love to meet up with you and talk about your experience and give you a BIG HUG!!! God bless you.

Good for you!! I am so glad to read that you are home! It's all down hill from here... it gets better trust me it does. ;) If you need someone to talk to about "what have I done to myself" remember I am a phone call away! Hugs! Audra

Hi, Mark here again. After a leak test this morning that Deb hated :), she saw Dr Yates this afternoon and he let her come home. I have never seen someone move so quickly to get out of a hospital!! She still has the two drains that will be taken out when we see Dr Yates next week. But the big thing is that she is doing very well, is home, and at the moment, is fast asleep in our bed after climbing two sets of stairs to our apartment. I have to say that Dr Yates is one of the most wonderful doctors that I have had the pleasure of meeting. He is professional, straight forward and just an incredible person. I am sure that tomorrow, when she has a little more strength, she will post something herself.

Mark here again. Debi s doing very well. She is out of the ICU step down unit and into a regular room. All of her IV's have been discontinued, and she is on her liquid diet, and managed to eat quite a bit of her lunch. She also took her first walk this afternoon up and down the corridoor, and although she was hurting quite a bit, managed it with no problem. Dr Yates came in this morning and said that she was doing very well. He will be in again later this afternoon and I'll be staying over night in the hospital with her again this evening. I'll update everyone again tomorrow.
