"Dr. Bollman was great--very caring and thorough. He definitely wants to make sure you understand the surgery before hand. His staff is great also. When I came home they called every few days to check up on me. When I had a problem I called the doctor in the middle of the night and he was very concerned and helpful. The hospital in Junction City is not the most up to date in appearance, but the staff could not have been better. They were always ready to help and very sweet. One of the CNA's stayed late one night to curl my hair and make me more presentable to go to the support group meeting that happened to be that night. When I had to go back to ICU due to congestive heart failure, I cried because I knew I'd have to stay longer. The nurses comforted me and reassured me. The Dr is very diligent on encouraging us to attend the support group meetings and follow the pouch rules. I'm 10 weeks out from surgery and I've gone back 2 to see the Dr. I go again in July (4 months post-op). I would rate the Dr. and his staff at 10+ on both surgical competence and bedside manner. My only wish was that the Dr. would have given me a goal that he thought I should or could make. But I realize that the success depends on me"
