I am 30 years old. I have been married for almost 9 years, and I have 2 children, a son (age 6) and daughter (17 months). Currently, I am going to college to become a RN. I am in my 3rd semester of nursing school. Just a little info about my weight problems. I have been overweight all my life. I can remember when I was in the 2nd grade and I weighed 120 pounds. During most of my elementary school years I was on prescription diet pills from the pediatrican. So, being overweight is something that I have had to deal with all my life, one diet after another. I have my first appointment with Dr. Hannon on Feb 20. I am so excited and ready to have this surgery done. I have had this appointment since the middle of Oct. I hate having to wait, but everything will be worth it in the long run. Just a few more days to go. I do know that my insurance company will pay for the surgery 100%, so that is a wonderful blessing. I will post more later when I have a surgery date set. Anyone one that has any encouraging words, please feel free to email me.
