It will be 1 year since my surgery. I am 10 pounds from my goal weight. I feel great!! I am off all my diabetes and blood pressure meds. I can climb stairs and walk without getting out of breath. I am having a little trouble with the men checking me out though. But it is a good feeling. Just shy and not used to it. I have no regrets at all from the surgery. I would do it again in a minute.

Well I am now 9 days post op. I am feeling much better. Pretty much off of the pain meds. Still have a hard time sleeping due to being a stomach sleeper. Things are getting better everyday. I have lost 10 pounds since Monday. Hope you all have a great day!

Well I finally got home last night. It certainly wasnt the most pleasant experience that I have had. But I keep telling myself that it will be worth it in the end. The surgery was done Lap and lasted 8 hours. I am very sore. Any one who is going in soon may wish to have someone stay with them. My daughter stayed with me the whole time and she was a blessing. And ofcourse you know that mother nature had stepped in on the night that i had the surgery and my ride could not pick me up when supposed to. I cannot say too much for the nursing care that I recieved but I AM ALIVE AND HOME!! Already weight seems to be literally " falling off of me". Also, I never thought that I would be so happy to have a bowel movent. One of those little things that we take for granted. I am feeling a little better today. To all of you preops.....the begining is rough but it does get better!

Well tomorrow is my big day. The first day of the rest of my new life. I am very scared but put myself in gods hands now. I am determined to do this. It is amazing how many people try to talk you out of this kind of thing. I know that if I continue on the path that I was on, I will not be around too long. With this surgery I know that I have a very good chance of being around to meet my grandchildren someday. So, how could I be doing the wrong thing!!!
