I had done some research into the lap RNY procedure and found Dr. Coirin to be confident, knowledgeable and quite comfortable with my many questions and concerns. Dr. Coirin was also very clear that this was not something that would be over once my physical healing was complete. This was a lifelong commitment to my health. He discussed the importance of attending support group meetings, following the guidelines of the plan (he provides an excellent reference manual), and my responsibility to make and keep all follow-up appointments and complete my labwork to ensure my health.
