"When Dr. Shina first walked into the seminar, he was in his scrubs, and I was like, that can't be him! LOL I wasn't sure I liked him at first, but then he began to talk to us, and I knew he was everything I had heard. He is very personable, truly cares about the well-being of his patients. He didn't beat around the bush about the risks, and talked a great deal on PEs. The office staff was really great. I don't remember all their names, but they were very friendly, helpful and smiling all the time. They put me at ease right away. At first, I kinda got the impression he might be a little "cocky", but that impression didn't last more than 20 seconds. He stressed the fact that he wasn't going to "talk us into" having this surgery, but rather try and talk us out of it. He made sure we knew it was a "last resort". I'm not sure about the aftercare program. Overall, I would say on a scale of 1 - 10, he's a 9.5. I think both surgical competence and beside manner are important."
