"My first consultation is scheduled for May 30. I am very excited to getting to my consultation and getting things rolling and am praying my insurance will approve my surgery. Will tell you more after my consultation. bye bye for now :-)
June 8..Well my first consultation went ok. The office staff seemed to run like a well oiled machine. Everyone knew their jobs and did them well. My next step is getting some tests done in order to have insurance approval. I was hopeful that it would all go really fast cause I just want to get this done and over with and start losing weight but one of my appts. isn't until July 18th. My insurance also requires a psychiatrist evaluation that I know what I am getting into and that I will be able to handle it. I am still hopeful my surgery will be this summer but will have to wait and see if all goes well. Thank you to everyone who has shared their stories and insight, what a blessing it has been to read them here at this site. Will update more when I know what is happening next. Your friend...Shelley

I changed surgeons because my original Dr. has moved. I know have Dr. Lane and have met with him and like him. I also now have a surgery date of Nov. 9. YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE"
