"My first impression of Dr. Martin was definitely a positive one. She is soft spoken and has eyes that look directly into your with a true caring and deep sympathy for what you're going through. She takes time to explain the surgery and also to make sure you aren't having this surgery for the wrong reasons. Her office staff is incredibly friendly. They have been very quick to return phone calls and do everything in their power to better the experience of the different processes you must go through in order to have gastric bypass surgery. Since, I haven't had my surgery yet, I don't know a lot about their aftercare. I know they have a wonderful nurse practitioner who often does the follow up visits. Overall, I rate Dr. Martin very highly because of her ability to empathize with her patients as well as her surgical skill and great bedside manner! The only thing that I would mention about my initial consult with Dr. Martin is that she only spent maybe a total of five minutes with me. I didn't really need more time than that, but it would have been nice to get to have some extra time to think of questions. Since my first visit, I have come up with so many, but at my physical, I will have more than enough of an oppertunity to ask anything I like. And I know that if I had known what questions to ask on the day of my first consult, she would have been more than happy to spend the extra time informing me. "
