"My 1st impression of Dr. Bass was very positive, and still is. He has the nicest staff of people I have ever dealt with in the medical field. There wasn't anything I didn't like about Dr. Bass. After researching doctors and the surgery for over a year, I wouldn't have picked any other surgeon in my area. Aftercare is very important to Dr. Bass. Dr. Bass works with a nutritionist at the hospital where he does the surgery, and expects the patient to keep in constant touch wi9th her. Dr. Bass also wants his patients to attend a local weight loss surgery support group, and was also the doctor who was instrumental in getting the support group started in this area. There is another doctor in the area who has done this surgery for a long time, however did nothing to get the support group started. Dr. Bass informs his patient of all complications that could occurr during and after surgery.Dr. Bass is an excellent surgery. I would recommend him to everyone. While I was in the hospital after surgery, a nurse told me I had the best surgeon in the area. She told me that not only does he see you often while you are in the hospital, but after he goes home, he will call in to check on the patients and then will return if there is the slightest change in patients condition. Dr. Bass saw me twice a day while I was in the hospital. Most doctors do not do that. I believe surgical competence and bedside manner are very important, and Dr. Thomas Bass has both. I do not have anything negative to say about Dr. Bass. This was my own personal impressions of my own personal experience and I am making no statements about what other people may experience."
