~~Hello All~~ I am home and I made it just fine, as you heard from my wonderful angel Alissa as well as our resident angel Rhonda. Thank you both so very much for checking in on me, and Alissa for talking to me each day. The pain, is excruciating, the pain killers are wonderful. Because of all the wonderful posties on this site, I knew the pain for the first few days would be horrid (to put it nicely!!) but knew it would get better. Everything went very well, although I guess my surgery was like 5 hours. My bypass went just fine and the tricky part was the gall bladder removal. I'm told it was full of stones and totally misshapen...one stone was the size of an egg! My wonderful surgeon likes to use sutures, not staples and was not happy when he started suturing and was told they needed the OR for an emergency c-section (small town hospital)...so he had to use staples :( Those suckers were not pleasant coming out! (But the least of the pain, of course!). I am still so very swollen from the waist down from all the IV fluids...so much so that my scale can no longer weigh me. Oh well...Anyway!! Thanks to all of YOU out there...your support is overwhelming and so very welcomed. I will answer you all when I have more energy and have taken another dose of pain meds! For those pre-ops out there, yes it IS indeed painful, but if you have any doubts, just take yourself over to the picture gallery and you will SEE why it is all worth it! Thanks again, everyone. (((Hugs)))

talked to jacque today on the phone, she is very tired, but relieved that the surgery is done and over with... her gallbladder surgery took longer then her bypass, she had a lot of adhesions and stones that were huge, so it was a good thing they did the surgery when they did, it might have been a cause of some of her discomfort before... anyways, out for now...welcome to the otherside, gorgeous girlfriend, cant wait to see you.. p.s. jacque's birthday is monday... hopefully she will be out of the hospital by sunday..
