Hi Kalyn. I'm four months post-op too, and my hair has been falling out horrificly also. My surgeon said it was from not taking in enough protein, I was pretty laxed in that area (protein shakes, protein bars), recently I've found a protein/low carb protein powder and protein/low carbs bars from Atkins. Hopefully this will help. I've also been told the hair loss is something you cannot control---due to the surgery etc.; So, who knows? I guess time will tell. The good news is that the hair does grows back. Unfortunately for me, the hair that I've noticed growing back is silver! I'm only 37 years old! I probably didn't tell you anything don't already know, but I think it helps to know a lot of us our experiencing similar situations. Please take care, sincerely, Lori Ann

Hi Kalyn - My hair started falling out about 2 weeks ago and my doc said to take a vitamin with Biotin in it and try shampoo with minoxidol ( found at beauty supplies). I just started on the Hair, Skin and Nail vitamins from Wal-Mart, I just have to chop them up to make sure they dissolve. I actually bought Progaine for Women. I don't know results yet, but thought I'd pass it on. Good luck.

Kayln, long time no chat. Sorry to hear about the hair! I am 4 1/2 months but have been very lucky with the hair so far (must be all the protein and red meat I eat)...KNOCK ON WOOD! If there is one thing I have learned, there is no rhyme or reason to this surgery! Give it time....Talk to you soon!

Dear Kalyn, Keep the faith. I know it will get better. Sometimes the hard times seem to go on and on. Soon the sun will shine. Just think of how you will soon be looking and feeling. Hugs, Steph

It will get better!!! Sometimes, we are given things to deal with that are not pleasant. Just remember it is not a problem, but an opportunity. This is just one of many forks in the road. I believe in you and I know it will work for you. Keep the faith and hang in there. It will get better. I know it will.

Kalyn- I'm so sorry to hear you are having trouble. I have not had surgery yet, so I can't say honestly that I know what it is like. I just hope things get better for you soon!
