On the day that so many lost their lives, our new lives will just be beginning. I am also scheduled for surgery on September 11th. I feel blessed to be scheduled on that day. A day which is no longer remembered with joy will now be, for us, a day which will have happy memories. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Hi Nan: I wanted to post you a well wish. Time is getting very close now and I am excited for you. It has seemed like a long road even though your approval and all went very smoothly. I don't have any advise on the surgery but am hoping you will be able to give me some when I have this done hopefully in October. You are in my prayers each day and know that with God directing Dr. Naaman's hand and giving him all the knowledge he will need along with his staff, you are in the best of hands. Life, my dear is going to change for you. In the long run it will be healthier and you will have so much more energy to keep up with your students and life in general. I am looking forward to us having a great time shopping and doing all the things we have been unable to do in the past. May God bless you in your new life as you become thinner. Dad and I will see you Sept 7th and will be there for you during and after your surgery. Know that I love you and am excited for you. Love Mom

Having my WLS was the best, smartest decision I ever made. It's tough at first but boy is it worth it. I'm just over 4 months post-op (Dr. Naaman) and I've lost 61 pounds. There are moments that are frustrating but just hang in there. Every time you look in the mirror, you say - it was worth it. Good luck to you.
