"Dr. Brobyn and his staff were excellent. They were kind and made me feel very at ease. If I needed any more work done this would definitely be the surgeon for me. I would also add that Dr. Brobyn and his team got me approved through my insurance company, Keystone within a week time. So that was a even bigger plus for me. All I had to do was get my referrals. They handled the rest."
"I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. The nurses were slow. One even left me in my own vomit for 15 minutes. That was the topper. Then a nurse and a doctor were outside my room getting ready to fight. The arguing woke me up out of my sleep at 3:00a.m in the morning. There was one nurse there who really helped me. i was in the hospital 5 days. she couldn't be there everyday. The only reason I would ever step foot in that hospital again is if Dr. Kirkland had to revise something. Other than that if i fell right in front of the hospital and as bleeding everywhere I would want my husband to pick me up and take me to another hospital. The last thing is it wasn't very clean. I could go on, but I think you get my point."
"When I first met Dr. Kirkland I felt comfortable right away. He let me know that I was at risk of having problems or even deathe because of my obesity. He talked about the surgery that he would perform, and drew me a picturr of what my stomach would look like. He said that there is a risk with the surgery, but he performs surgeries all the time that are riskier. With meeting him just for the first time today(May17,2001)I felt pretty comfortable. September 30th: I didn't realize that I didn't update this since my surgery. My surgery went very well. I'm feeling great. if you plan on having surgery from Dr. Kirkland in the future, just know he is a very very busy man. you will hardly see him. I only seen him minutes before surgery and when I was being discharged I seen him for about 2 minutes. He checked my incision and told me my swallow test was fine. Dr. Kirkland is an excellent doctor, but if you are looking for a doctor with a great bedside manner also, this is not the doctor for you.I really respect this doctor because of his surgical competence."
