Wow! I am almost 1 month away from my surgery. I am 36, married with a 1 yr old daughter. I am so excited to start a new begining. My husband and I like to do outdoor activities. Doing things with our daughter will be fun. Even though I was heavy all my life. I never let skiing/rollerblading stop me from having a life. I was active at 200lbs. Now at my current weight (270) I can't do all the sports I would like to do. I also can't wait to wear those sexy close I see in the teeny bopper stores. How I can't wait to wear a cute outfit.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, I know you are doing a happy dance, and probably some "NERVES", just know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything goes well and you are up and out and about real soon. Cathy Whitmer

May 18th, 2002 I am now less than 2 month away from surgery (July 16th). I am so excited to have this done! I am so sick of wearing a size 26. The thing I am looking forward to is rollerblading and skiing again. I have always been heavy all my life but being overweight never got in my way of doing sports I really liked. Not until I got to this point in my life. Now, walking is about the only exercise I will do to prevent injury to the joints in my knees.
