Congratulations on your surgery! The next year is going to be the most amazing of your life. I just want to let you know that here in the beginning is the toughest part. You will feel better than normal soon! These first few weeks and the surgery will only be a memory and you will be on to your new life. I am 10 months post op and I have lost nearly 130 pounds. I went from a size 24 to a 4 in a little over 6 months. Miracles do and will happen for you. I have tried to keep a profile that can be used as a resource. That answers all of the questions that I had when I was in your shoes. And links to various places to do more of your own research. Im so glad you are doing better Dr. Lucktong is doing mine on the 31 of this month so im kinda watching over your profile to see what you have went through I am glad you are doing better and I was wondering if you was comming to are next meeting it is on the 20 of this month I did not know if you would be able to come are not but I would like to wish you luck and CONGRATS!!! on becomming a LOSER!!! 3/6/03--Jamie called me last night. After a very rough day on Tuesday she is doing well and should go home today.

3/3/03--I spent about 3 hours at the hospital with Jamie and her husband this afternoon. Dr. Lucktong said that her surgery was textbook perfect and that she was very alert for someone who just had surgery. She was experiencing quite a bit of pain at times, but she's a real trooper. We helped her get up and she walked half a lap around her floor. I know it was hard for her and I'm really proud of how she's handling this. If all goes well, Dr. Lucktong is going to send her home late in the day on Wednesday.
