"Nurses were fantastic. Wheel chairs were large enough, gowns were VERY roomy and I received my own private room. They try to put all their bariatric patients on the same floor (5 west) and the nurses are very knowledgeable about this surgery."
"My first impression of Dr. Lucktong at first was hurried. He had just finished a surgery and was running behind. My husband and I had to wait for him for an hour. Once he got settled in, I realized he was a really nice guy who genuinely cared about his patients. His staff were really nice and very helpful, too.
Dr. Lucktong really pushes the notion of life-long aftercare and follow-up. He is a firm believer in support groups.
Dr. Lucktong said that he is a young man, so he hasn't done a hundred of these surgeries yet, which kind of made me nervous, but then he said he was extrememly comfortable in his knowledge of performing them, and I beliveed him. He was really nice.
The risks of surgery were clearly explained, and I had to sign papers stating that I understood the risks and that all of my questions had been answered.
I would feel better rating him after my surgery, and I feel I would rather have surgical competence than bedside manner. I can deal with a rude doctor, I can't deal with being dead.
