I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

Good evening all. I am 15 days post op (Open RNY) and am down 24 lbs. I feel pretty good (and am told I also look it) although I am quite concerned with the fact that I am not consuming the required amount of protein. The nurse at the surgeon's office said I couldn't use the protein powders yet. The food that I am consuming is staying down (no vomiting yet). Any ideas on how I can meet the daily requirements? Thanks for the input.

Congrats Gloria for coming through the surgery with flying colors. My surgery was done 7-15-03, so I am only one week in front of you. I didn't really care if I had anything to eat or not. The day I was put on pureeded food I couldn't eat it. I nearly cried for a popcycle. They went and got me one! You will appreciate the taste of the food when You go to Stage II diet. Friday I was put on stage III - adding one soft solid food a day. Good luck, I know you are doing great!

I am now 6 days post op and feeling OK. Thanks God there is no pain or bother -- except for trying to sleep comfortably. I would like to thank everyone who sent me their prayers and good wishes. The God and the angels were listening because I came through with flying colors. As a matter of fact, the nurses kept telling me that I didn't even look like I had had surgery that day. My only problem now is with getting in all the water. I feel like I am drowing inside. Another thing is the clear liquids thing. I am getting kind of sick of the broth and jello and I still have to be on those until Tuesday evening... then on to puree. Any ideas??? Please e-mail me.
