Hello - It has been 17 months since surgery and I have lost 75 lbs and went from a size 30-32 to 20! I have slowed down since my mother died this past February 2004. Her death has taken a horrible toll on me emotionally and I have fallen off the "right" track. I went back to emotionally eating and found my vice. I was again side lined after a treadmill injury to my right knee having to have surgery in April 2004 for two torn mensici. This year has not been as great as last but hopefully I can get back on track soon. I have at least another 75 lbs to lose and I am worrying that I don't have much time, since my "window of opportunity" is slowly dwindling. Keep me in your prayers!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

Well I am almost 6 months postop and doing wonderfully! I am walking 2 miles a day with my sister at a quick pace. My thoughts are now turning to plastics as I am losing weight. I have lost 60 lbs and feeling great. I checked my measurements yesterday and I have lost over 37 inches from my total body! I am learning to eat healthy. I have had some problems with my iron and I am on supplements which is ok. I focus on my protein intake and watch my sugar intake. Dr. Martin recommends on the nutritional label 5g protein no more than 5g fat and 5g sugar per serving. I just realized this revelation this week that I have had this surgery to lose weight BUT I must learn to EAT healthy and now FOCUS on weight loss but to FOCUS on healthy EATING! WOW!
