"I first met with Dr. Gersin on 2/13/03 for my inital consultation. I was very impressed by him. He took his time with me and answered every question I had in detail. He also incouraged me to keep writing down questions as I think of them so I would have them the next time we meet. Not only did he go into detail about the procedure but his P.A., Joanna Brown, did also. Everyone I have had contact within that office has been great. I will see Dr. Gersin again on 6/12/03, right before my surgery.
His group also offers a support group that meets on a monthly basis. At these meetings they try to have ones that are post-op to discuss what they went through and what they are currently going through. Before your surgery it is mandatory that you attend at least one of these meetings, a two hour dietary class and must have a psyhological exam to make sure you are also ready mentally.
This group also requires you to follow-up with them on a yearly basis for blood work after surgery.
I would highly recommend Dr. Gersin to anyone that is considering this surgery.
