"I think Dr. Caruana is a very nice man. He seems very knowledgable and compassionate to overweight people. The office is very busy and can be somewhat brash but I realize that they have to do their job inorder to let the doctor do his. The doctor's assts. were wonderful. They were also very smart and caring. I think that anyone in the WNY area should consider Dr. Caruana if they are considering WLS. He has done over a thousand of them and freely admitts that he has had 4 deaths. He does explain the procedure and all the effects of the surgery. He also has a wonderful post op program and has a gym right in his office. Overall, I found my journey so far one to be pretty much problem free. Teh staff took care of everything--the insurance forms, hospital info etc. It was nice not to have to worry about any of it. They even let me do my pre-op testing closer to my home town since I live two hours away. See....I traveled 2 hours....cause I knew and FELT he was worth it!"
