"I met with Dr. McCarty for the first time today. I liked him a lot and he was very thorugh and insistant on explaining the bad with the good. He tried to talk me out of lap RNY in favor of open. No sale. I cannot take that much time off work. He said he does not expect any problems with the insurance and he can handle them if they deny based on medical necessity. It impressed me that he will schedule me for a heart valve test because I took Pen/Fen even though I have no symptoms."
