Well ... it's my first time to update since having surgery. Things have been very tough. I came home with minimal discomfort and an incision that was healing beautifully. Now at 3 1/2 weeks post-op, my incision is opening up and oozing ... I have a neuropathy in my thighs that causes a painful burning feeling whenever I stay in one position too long ... I'm constantly fatigued .... I'm nauseated 24/7 ... I hate vitamins ... everything smells and tastes like crap and I still can't sleep in my own bed. I knew this would be hard ... didn't expect it to be THIS hard. I see the surgeon tomorrow for the incision and the neuropathy. I hope he can do something to make it better. Oh yeah .... -30 pounds. Sadly, I don't really care. I'm too miserable to care about the weight loss. I hope things improve soon.

HEY EVERYBODY!! I'M HOME!!!!!! I was discharged from the hospital this morning and I'm doing great. Of course I'm completely loaded on Vicoden so the world seems much more wonderful. Thanks to everyone who called and posted to my surgery page! It meant the world to me that so many of you took the time to call and just say hello and that I was in your thoughts and prayers. Trust me .... THE PRAYERS WORKED!!! I couldn't have come through this thing any smoother. Thanks Again and GOD BLESS!!
