Alan Geiss

"My first impression of Dr. Geiss was, "what a nice, friendly man!" After spending 50 minutes with him at my first consultation, my first impression was confirmed. Dr. Geiss is warm and caring and open to discussing any and all questions. He is passionate about his work -- he says that doing the Lap-Band procedure is the most rewarding thing he has ever done. His staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. There is a wonderful support group in place, attended each month by Dr. Geiss and his entire staff, and they bring in motivational speakers and such. So far, I would heartily recommend Dr. Geiss. Dec.20, 2002 ... My PCP raised a question based on one of my pre-op test results. I called the surgeon's office and spoke with Andrea (who, by the way, immediately recognized me and knew who I was from my name -- I knew then that I was not just a number on a patient chart!) -- Andrea could have answered the question herself. But she wanted Dr. Geiss to look at my chart to be sure and she said she'd call me back in a little while. A few minutes later, the phone rang. It was Dr. Geiss himself. Calling with not earth-shaking news -- everything was fine, and the question was put to rest. I was so impressed that Dr. Geiss took the time to call me and speak with me personally, when he could have just had his Andrea call me back with the information. "
