"Dr. Todd was recommended to me by my PCP. She felt Dr. Todd was doing all the right things for his patients - making sure they were as healthy as possible before surgery, doing lots of pre-op education, making sure folks were emotionally prepared, etc. After meeting Dr. Todd, I felt comfortable that I was making the right decision. He is probably the first physician (other than my PCP)I have ever talked to that really understood I didn't choose to be overweight. His program seems to be well defined. He carefully explains the surgical procedure and the pre-op and post-op periods. He was precise and thorough.
As far as his surgical competence, until Nov 16 I must rely on my PCP's opinion, which is that Dr. Todd is quite competent. After Nov 16, I'll let you know my opinion. His manner in the office is quite good. He is kind and compassionate. He does not skirt difficult topics, but is gentle in his approach."
