HELLO EVERYONE! I have been admonished by a fellow WLS'er that I need to update more on the board! MESSAGE REIEVED! So, here I am! I am happy to announce that I am officially down 62lbs!! I had my surgery 12 weeks ago. I went today and bought new jean in a size 22 and they look great! (my hubby says so!) That is from a size 26-28! YES!! For those of you who knew that my daughter was getting married... The wedding was beautiful! Everything went off without a hitch! I, however had a little mishap! I had to be rushed to the emergency room immediately afterwards and then to surgery for an appendectomy! Dr. Sherer did the surgery for me. I had been hurting all day but fought it off cause I didn't want to ruin her special day and by that evening I was in serious pain! The doc said it was a miricle it didn't burst. He said it had absolutely nothing to do with the bypass. It was just a freak thing but I tell you what, I'd rather have the bypass over this ordeal any day! It was horrible! 3 days in the hospital and then 3 days bed ridden before I began to feel human again! But THANK YOU LORD. I am back on track and feeling good. HELLO EVERYONE! its the ever tardy BIGMAMAFOX! I have an awesome update for you guys. Are you ready? Can you dig it? I am now down to 262lbs! I started at 309 eight weeks ago! YES! THAT IS -47LBS! I am so thrilled to say the least! I am treating myself to a wonderful weekend at my mom's in Ga. with no kids in tow! Besides, I need a brteak from all this wedding chaos! HELP! What ever happened to elopement?!? We have another shower next weekend and then the wedding the next! So I figured I better git while the gittins good! I went to my first support group meeting (bout time....ya think?) at the RAINBOW CITY MALL IN AL. and I had a great time! I met some wonderful people and they made me feel very welcomed. I want to say a huge THANKS to KATHEY (KEEKAT99) for inviting me to join! I firmly believe that we should seek support during this journey. Nobody understands like someone who's going through the same thing. We can learn so much from each other! Take care and my BEST to all!**Bigmamafox**

HEY HEY HEY....HERE I AM but not all of me cause I done lost 41 lbs of me! TEE-HEE!! Soooooo, if ya happen to find it......PLEASE DON'T SEND IT BACK TO ME!!! LOL!! I shall not miss it a bit! I am 6 weeks post-op and down 25 inches! YEH ME! I feel awesome! I am getting compliments left and right. Its not the main reason I had this surgery but it sure doesn't hurt my feelings any for people to notice! I am still struggling with wanting to eat too fast and have to get it out sometimes afterward but I have always been a slow learner! Well, the "DREADED MIL" will be visiting in just 3 more days! All and any prayers are welcome! haha! Also, I now have a beautiful profile page complete with a guest book (THANK YOU DEBBY O.) so if ya get the chance, please come visit and sign my book! I'd love to have ya! My love and best to all you pre-ops and happy losing to my fellow posties! **Bigmamafox**

HEY THERE MAMAFOX!!!!! Sounds like we can't call you bigmamafox anymore. Maybe we can nickname the MIL BIGMAMA without the fox!!! Congrats on the weightloss and the mother of the bride dress. You know you aren't supposed to outshine the bride!!!! It is so good to see you post. I miss you when you are busy with the wedding. Best wishes to your daughter and her husband to be. I have followed you thru your journey and you just crack me up girl.... Congrats on being 30 pounds down. I have a dress in my closet still that I wore to my senior prom, I swore I would get back in it and I havn't yet tried it on. I can't wait to slide in cause you know I am gonna make my DH take me out in it.. lol Congrats on the loss!

HELLO ALL MY SWEET FRIENDS! I know, I know, I have been neglecting you lately! I am sorry! I am just soooo busy trying to get this kid of mine married! Lordy, I'll be glad when its done!! I am proud to announce that I am 30 POUNDS LIGHTER! I am currently on one of those dreaded plateaus! But never fear.....this too shall pass!!! The wedding shower is this coming Sat. so guess who'll be coming for a sleepover??? YEP! THE MOTHER-IN-LAW!!(any good advice? help) That's ok, cause I am almost down to her size now so she better not be ugly OR ELSE!! I am not worried though cause my mommy will be here to protect me! LOL! I tried on a beautiful dress that I haven't been able to wear for 3 years and had only worn once and it fit beautifully and will be perfect for the wedding! I am just thrilled!! I am sooo glad I saved so many things. Its a real blessing to pull those things out and have them fit again! Not to mention the money it saves. I want to wish all those with surgery coming up the very best and happy losing to all the posties!! WE ARE ALL SO BLESSED!!**Bigmamafox**

I'm so glad you are well! I have enjoyed your posts pre-op and will definitly enjoy them as you shrink!!! LOL. I'm glad you are feeling well. Please say a little prayer for me as I approach my surgery on March 5, 2002. YOu will remain in my prayers as you continue your journey! Kelly Harman

Hello Cheryl, Actually, YES, I have missed you! Congratulations on your success. I am so happy for you. I am awaiting insurance approval, saw surgeon 2/4. He said the approval should take about 4 to 6 weeks! Then a week to ten days to get on his schedule. I can hardly believe I may be on the other side with you in just two months!. I pray for continued succes for you and that the weight losss is quicker than you had hoped for. May you continue to be complication free. Good luck and God bless. PEACE karen byers
