I am Leah's husband who will miss the best, and kindnest lady I have ever known. Her passing was a combination of many things: diabetes, heart, and a massive stroke. She fought with all that she had. Please tell anyone you know who has diabetes to please watch their weight and diet. Leah did not follow Drs. orders. If she did my LOVE would still be with me

Hi everyone. I haven't posted much at all for the past few months but felt I needed to pass along some sad news that I happened to stumble upon today. I was reading a local newspaper and was stunned and saddened to find Leah Shelow's obituary. I don't know what the cause of her death was or whether she's had any complications since having her surgery. I cooresponded with Leah several times while she was preparing for her surgery. She was so upbeat and excited to take this journey. I'm sure some of you will remember Leah, she was a frequent contributor to the message board at one time. My condolences go out to her family and friends. Her death notice can be found in the Saturday, 11/30 edition of the South Jersey Courier-Post. Much love to you all.

Congratulations and toot toot tooting that horn for you! I haven't been on the board much myself since my surgery on 5/13. I'm slower than you but doing very well! Lost 40 lbs at 10 weeks and feeling really wonderful. Continue to have a wonderful recovery...Take Care, Sharon

Hi Leah, You asked about your stomach hanging over. I was wondering if they gave you a binder in the hospital. If so did you get to bring it home. I was thinking that might help. Hope you find out something. Geralyn
