7/28/02 Well now I finally have a new surgery date Friday Sept. 13,2002. My surgery will be at Cleveland Hospital in Cleveland Tx.

Well, more bad news. The program that my doctor uses has several locations. After all surgery was stopped at Cy-Fair hospital they told me my surgery would be at the new center in Cleveland Tx when it opens in early August. Now they say it won't open till Sept. but they would pay for all my transportation if I was willing to go to the Lubbock center and have it done as early as next week. Naturally I get all excited, and the representative said she would call me back as soon as she found out if it would be okay with TRC. I waited all day and no phone call. Then when I check my computer tonight I find she had sent me an e-mail instead of calling. It seems since my surgery was cancelled back on June 17 they had spend the funds on something else.So now I may have to wait till the next quarter's funds become available. I am sick to death of all the high hopes that they give me and then turn right around and crush them. This makes about the fourth time they have done this to me. Margaret

I want to thank all of those that have sent me messages wishing me good luck on my sugery, which was to have been this coming Monday, June 17th. Cypress-Fairbanks Hospital stopped ALL BARIATRIC SURGERIES as of Mon. 6/10/2002 at 10:30pm. I don't know what the problem was all they will say is they are reviewing the program.My doctor is trying to get approved for surgery at one of several different hospitals. Please say a prayer that we get things worked out, there are a LOT of us that had our surgeries canceled. BUMMER!!!!!
