Hi Jen, the dryness on your face is because you dont have as much liguids in you like you used to.try NIVEA cream..its the one in the blue jar..its wonderful, its clean smelling and it makes your face glow..also i use bath and body works shower gel and lotion on my body after..i found that soap was drying me out and making me itchy..good luck..arrevedecci JOAnn

Jen- Have you tried fitday.com ? I totally love this site! It will count your calories and even tell you how much protien vs. carbs you have eaten. As an added plus, it will also tell you how many calories you burn for every activity. Hope this helps...

WAY TO GO JEN!!!! I am still waiting to get an appointment to see a surgeon, I haven't heard about head hunger, when you are feeling up to it maybe you can fill me it. CONGRATS! Donna

I'm home! I'm really sore where the G-tube is--I don't want that to stay in another week! :( Doing ok on clear liquids, but the head hunger is there a little too! I will post more when I can sit up better! Thanks for all of your support.. Jen

I was unable to see Jen but spoke to her on Weds evening. She said she just can't beleive she had it done. She sounded really happy! She said the first day was the roughest and after that she's been fine. She is supposed to be discharged Thursday.

I haven't spoken to Jen yet but, have spoken with the surgeons office who said she did well in surgery on Monday Sept. 16th 2002. She has been transferred to a room and must be zonked because she isn't picking up the phone yet*L* I will see her tomorrow Weds and let you know how she is :o)
