Troy LaMar

"I first heard of Dr LaMar from some of his patients. Everyone I met only had good things to say about him. The first time I saw him was at the symposium. He didn't speak much but seemed nice. When I had my consultation I had a chance to talk to him. He was very knowledgable and supportive. He let me know that he thought I was a good candidate and answered all of my questions. I can't say that there was anything I didn't like about him, (he was running late but I work in the medical field and know that emergencies come up and can't be helped.) His office staff were also kind and helpful, Nicole the coordinator was great and she has a very hectic job! After care is important with this group, they encourage you to go to the support groups and continue with follow-up care. I was also encouraged to call te office day or night after surgery, if I had any questions or problems. Dr LaMar explained all the possible complications and also stressed that I may need an open procedure if there were a lot of adhesions (scarring) from my previous open gallbladder surgery. I would rate Dr. LaMar a 9 ( haven't met a 10 yet ;) ). For me, surgical competene is the most important thing but Dr LaMar had a good bedside manner too!"

Methodist Hospital Arcadia

"Everyone from the admitting people to the nurses were great. Everyone was very supportive and kind. The recovery room nurse was great but I didn't get her name I just remember her smiling face as she gave me more and more pain meds. Chris was my day nurse and she has had this surgery herself. She was fantastic and very informative. I have to say that everyone at Arcadia Methodist should be very proud of the service they provide, everyone was very professional."
