"I have been soooooo happy with Dr. DeLaTorre's office. I had a very bad experience with another place in St. Louis called New Start. They jerked me around for 5 months, only to find out that the Dr. I was going with (Dr. Gaskin) was no longer doing surgery due to the malpractice insurance. Also, during the course of those 5 months, they never even sent any of my paperwork in for insurance approval. I went with Dr. DeLaTorre's office on Monday, February 3rd, 2003. It is now Monday, March 17th, and I already have insurance approval and all what I am waiting for right now is to spend a day at the hospital, where they will go over everything with me of what I can expect with my surgery, and I will meet the Dr. that day. When I get done with that, they will set my surgery date, which they are telling me may be as early as the end of April or beginning of May. Needless to say, I have been very happy with his office. They have been very fast with all the paperwork, and have been eager to answer any questions that I had, without making me feel like I was "bothering" them. ******************************************** 7-3-03 I am 2 1/2 months out of surgery (10 weeks) and I have lost 62 pounds so far!!!!! Very hard in the beginning, but I feel absolutely wonderful now...Best decision I ever made!!!!!! ********************************************10-31-03 I am 6 1/2 months out of surgery and have lost 105 pounds so far and 87 inches off my body!!! This was the best thing I could have ever done!! ******************************************** "

"Ruth met with me and my husband individually and then together in regards to WLS. She seemed to know all the right questions to ask and was very knowledgeable of what you can expect. She was also very interested in your support system at home, once you have had the surgery. I would definately go back to Ruth in a heart beat. She did an absolute wonderful job. She covered everything that needed to be covered and documented everything in her report that gets sent to the insurance company. She did such a great job I had insurance approval in a week after it left the Dr's office. Ruth is very understanding with what you are going through and is a wonderful person to talk to. She will listen to you and also tells you what she thinks."

"Everything I have to say about this hospital is good. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very accomodating to me. They never acted like I was bothering them, and if I needed something they gave it to me. I would definately stay in this hospital again if I ever needed to."
