"Honestly, I had not known anyone personally who was a patient of Dr Houston. I just had a friend who had WLS (Roux-en-Y) by Dr Dyer and she liked him, but said he was very serious and doesn't have the bedside manner. She told me she met Dr Houston while she was in the hospital and thought he was nice and really handsome, so of course I chose him.
My first impression was indeed he is HOT (hehehe), but then as he introduced himself, he was very friendly and inquisitive, unlike some doctors that are ready to get you in and out as quickly as possible. I noticed he was staring at me up and down throughout the conversation. I don't know why. I thought maybe he was getting an idea of my weight or maybe wondering if I was obese enough (since I am just at the 100 lb mark). He asked me how I heard about him, what surgery I wanted, if I understood this was a life long comittment, etc, etc. He went over all the post op requirements and even the possible complications and showed me the diagram of the surgery. His nurse was super sweet. I would rate him and his office 8 for now."
