9/30/01 Hi everyone! I'm 5 days post op and in a little more discomfort than I expected. The surgery went well and Dr. Garber is just wonderful. He is very concerned with overall health and well being. I can believe I am already eating oatmeal, cream of wheat, soups, etc. (all full liquids) However I don't seem to be hungry enough to eat everything Dr. Garber says I should. Is that normal? All in all, I'm glad I did it and I'm on the road to a new and healthier life. Let me hear from all of my well wishers.

I also have the same surgery date Sept 26th. I also have founded a support group so that we can go through this transistion together. If I have already invited you I ask you to reconsider and join the fun. We are giving each other some great last minute tips and will join in a big chat the eve before our surgery. Once you join then you can send invitations out to family and friends who needs some advice and support during this journey to the otherside. If you are a inactive member I ask you to give us a holler an don't forget to check in when you return home. Penny, You don't have much time left. I'm sure you must be excited. Dr. Garber performed my surgery there 6/6/01. The nurses were great! I wish you a speedy recovery!
