Tammy, I just heard from Angel Marilyn that you are out of the surgery and in recovery. My prayers are with you for a healthy speedy recovery and a chance at a new life! God bless you with His love and comfort as you progress on this great journey. I am just 6 weeks post op myself so I know just about how you are feeling right now. Each day DOES get better, just do all Dr. Bergstein and Mary Ann (dietian) tell you and you will do fine. Love and prayers, Carolyn Gilliand

Angel Report: Tammy is on the other side! She is doing great and is in CCU for the night. Doctor Bergstein says if she does ok then she may be able to go to a stepdown unit tomorrow. Her surgery didn't start until about 11:00 a.m. so that is why it took so long! Welcome, Tammy, to the other side! I pray your recovery is quick and easy. This is an exciting journey and as soon as you are better, we will celebrate! Thank you, AMOS family, for your prayers and support! Jo, Tammy's mom, is staying up in Morgantown tonight so let's remember her in prayer too. She is still recovering herself from WLS surgery so I hope she doesn't "overdo" and have a setback. Tammy is in good hands tonight so I told her to try and get some rest. Congratulations, Tammy!

Angel Update: I haven't heard from anyone yet but I called the hospital at 3:15 pm and she was still in surgery. They wouldn't tell me anything yet. I am worried but I guess no news is good news. She was supposed to be in surgery at 8:45 am this morning. Please encourage her on her surgery page. And I will update as soon as I hear something. Tammy, can't wait to say "welcome to the other side"! God bless you!

Hi Tamara, Just wanted to let you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you enter this first phase of your new life! I was right where you are 6 weeks ago, and what changes I have seen! Always think positive and you will do just fine.

Tamara, My thoughts and prayers are with you today. In fact every time I woke up during the night, I said a prayer for you. I was exactly where you are now 4 weeks ago today (4/4) and I know how you feel. All I can say is that I thank God (and my angel, Marilyn, and my family) for carrying me through and I know you have the same team there with you, too. I'm thankful for each day because I know it is another step to a new life, full of health, happiness, and the ability to move around and see what wonders He has supplied. I also pray especially for Dr. Bergstein, that God will guide him and his staff during the surgery and that your recovery will be swift. God Bless you and your family, Tamara.

Angel reporting....I posted earlier about Tammy's surgery page not being up well, apparently someone is really on the ball and it is now available! Please show what a great bunch we are and give Tammy your love and prayers. She is really nervous and even though she has just joined our group and just obtained a computer, she has followed all of your journeys through my printouts for her. I know I have printed over 3,000 pages for her to read! no kiddin'! Tammy is going in tomorrow to enter a new life so please please post a message to her. Her e-mail address is not working so if you will send her a word of encouragement through the surgery page, I will give it to her. I know it would mean the world to her! God bless and protect you, Tammy, tomorrow and in recovery. May God guide Dr. Bergstein's hands and may your surgery be uneventful. Tammy's mom, Jo Withers, just had the surgery 8 wks ago and she is going to help Tammy in her recovery. I will post as soon as I can about her surgery. Your friends here at AMOS are with you!
