"I have met with Dr. McConnell for my initial consultation, both he and his staff were very nice and treated me with respect and dignity. He went over both of the procedures that he offered, RNY and Duodenal Switch, and then we discussed which one would be best for me. RNY. When I told him that I would be self-pay he seemed very concerned about complications and the extra costs that could be financially devastating. I explained that my PCP in my current health plan was not supportive in the least, and within a few days he had personally called me with a list of new physicians that he felt comfortable reccommending. He was very attentive to me in the hospital, and has personally called me at home to check in. He is also very skilled, my incision has no staples! I do not believe he has an aftercare program, I have not heard of one yet. "
