"He's an excellent surgeon. He's direct but still tactful about what may be sensitive subjects. His surgical program is very structured from start to finish, beginning with your initial visit through pre-op orientation, surgery and aftercare.The Bariatric Center at St Vincent, Carmel IN (where he performs his surgeries) has exercise and nutrition classes and support groups. He pulls no punches when it comes to discussing the possible risks of the surgery, mostly because he wants every patient to be well informed but it is a very scary discussion. Suzanne, his nurse, is a caring efficient lady who gets results from insurance companies and answers for the patient from a variety of sources. She is an important resource(she even helped me find a plastic surgeon).The rest of the office staff make a point of remembering your name and your face. Even though I visited the office only 8 times, after the second visit, everyone knew me on sight.Unfortunately, it has been my experience that sometimes it is difficult getting an appointment. There was one occasion when I drove the 2 1/2 hours for an appointment that was cancelled at the last minute because of an emergency surgery. All in all, he is a competent surgeon with an attentive staff and I would recommend him to anyone!"
