I had my surgery on October 18, 2000. Dr. Haicken and his staff was so wonderful to me. I feel great ! I went from 290 lbs to 160 lbs. My only complications to date were directly after surery I had to go back into ICU for a chance of a Pulmonary Embolism and had to have blood transfusions, It took me about a year to feel "healthly" and energenic again. I also had to go in to have EIGHT hernias repaired due to the surgery, I have never experience "dumping syndrome" so far (thank God) I strongly recommend Dr. Haicken for his compassion to his patients, his office staff treated me like a human being with great care.
