Hi Lorri, So happy to hear you are doing so well. Can't wait for my turn. Sounds like everything is going by the book for you. Congratulations!

Lorri continues to do exceedingly well. I spent the entire afternoon with her, and we watched the Mariners game together. She had her IV removed today, which means it is a lot easier for her to get around on her walks. She was on all liquids excluding dairy today, and tomorrow she can have blended foods. Lorri comes home on Tuesday, and I am sure she will happily share more information.

Lorry, I'm glad to hear that you're feeling well and that you're up and around a bit. I can't wait to join you on the 'skinny' side!

Angel Deanne here. I went up to Seattle yesterday to see Lorri Smyth and I am amazed at how well she is doing. Except for walking slowly and cringing when she gets in and out of bed, you wouldn't believe that she had major surgery. I talked to her today and she is starting to have clear liquids. No problems and no nausea, hooray! Dr. Weber wants her to stay until Tuesday so he can make sure she tolerates food ok. She has done so well and walking all the time has really made a difference.

Lorri is doing incredibly well. When I left her this morning (Saturday) she was animated, and had some color in her cheeks (I love her rosy cheeks.) We both got some sleep, though we got up at 3:00 to go potty and take a little walk. Lorri walked about six times yesterday, and seemed to get a little stronger as the day went on. Today she's should lose the nasty tube from her nose (N&G tube?)and hopes to be able to at least suck on some ice if not drink water. Will let you all know more as I know more. She's amazing and I am so proud of her. Kevin Smyth

Angel Deanne here. I spoke with Lorri Smyth this morning (her surgery was yesterday morning). She sounds great. It was hard for her to talk with the NG tube in, but she is very upbeat. All the tubes have made it hard to get around and her back hurt last night, but she's ok. Even at this stage she says it was worth it, so that says a lot. I would post this from my own profile but I am having problems. Maybe the moderator could help. My name is there, but when I go in it gives me two warning messages and then says I'm not in the data base. Very frustrating not being able to post my own messages or do anything on my profile. Thanks for keeping Lorri in your prayers. I know it helped. Love to all. Deanne O'Connell

Hi, I'm Lorri's angel Deanne. Just wanted to let you know that I talked with her tonight. She had her surgery this morning at 8:00am. She has been up to walk once. She says she is uncomfortable and is very thirsty, but she's hanging in there. I'll keep you posted.
