Linda, I'm also a slow loser and had to finally stop obsessing about it and get on with my life, get active and yet keep trying. I look at it this way....I AM LOSING !!! I drink alot of Crystal Lite (strawberry-kiwi) but I water mine down a bit more than it calls for because it is really sweet. My surgery was 4 months ago and I am now starting to crave plain old water, which is great. I treat myself to popcorn twice a week and that satisfies my need to munch and chew. When I get a chocolate craving I go to the fridge and drink half a can of choc flavored Boost and that satisfies me. I had one plateau that lasted 5 weeks and depressed me terribly but now I know if you ride it out and keep eating like you're losing weight, eventually you will. It's been a long struggle and I'm down 41 lbs and feel so much better and have alot more energy. I've lost alot of inches !!It took us a lifetime to put it all on. So what if it takes a year to take it off and at the same time, get healthy. You're doing fine, just hang in there and be happy!! HUGS! Carol Percel

Standing up and raising hand...Hi, I'm Beth, former diet pepsi addict and slow loser...lol....You're doing great, I'm 9 weeks out today, and down maybe a bit more than 30 lbs, I haven't weighed with everything on lately, as I do at the dr's. It's frustrating to feel like a slow loser...But I know in my head (not my heart) that I'm pretty sure I never lost 30lbs in 9 weeks before and in the last year I couldn't even manage to get 10 lbs off. I'm lucky in that I haven't been missing my diet soda and I really thought I would, I drank a ton of it daily. I've been drinking crystal light, water (wellduh..lol) and alot of herbal tea, Celestial Seasonings, they have lots of flavors and I love them. Arizona Tea makes some pretty good diet teas and I know I have heard people here say they they drink diet snapple. I also gave up my ciggs..Now I just want to give up my fat. Hang in there and take care!

Hiya Linda sweetie. I an pre-op and recently started cutting back on my diet pepsi. I was drinking a 6 pack every day. I forced myself to start drinking water (which I hate) and now I don't crave the pepsi, I'm actually thirsty for water. So I guess what I'm saying is that hopefully you'll get a craving for water like me. Best wishes to you for continued success.
