I just wanted to ask how you got an angel? You seem like the right perosn to ask and I am VERY new at all of this. I don't know how to get an "angel" and I haven't figured out how to "post" under my profile. I hope your trip was great...and I LOVED the toliet water thing...laughed my a** off!!

Melinda spoke at our support meeting last night and she is such an inspiration. I am 3 months out and about ready to give up on ever losing much more weight from my RNY. Melinda's parents were even there! I think that is so awesome to be able to have your loved ones support you like that. Tehre were times when there were tears in Melinda' eyes and voice but she kept on going like the Ever Ready Bunny and filled each and every person in that room with renewd hope. Thanks Melinda for sharing with us! You are looking so fine!

Melinda, I just read your profile and you are great! Are you sure that they didn't just take a cartoon chartacter and place them inside you? Thank you for all your words. They do help all of us who are having surgery and people who are thinking. I think it is important to post how you are feeling, it lets the rest of us kinda know what we are going to go thru. I really like you "REASONS FOR HAVING SURGERY" There are so many on there that I say AMEN to! Keep up the GREAT WORK!

I just finished reading your personal comments and I am in awe of your courage and determination. I have just got an appointment for a consultation with a surgeon. I am scared but want more than ever to have the surgery after reading yours and other members comments. I wish you the best, But most of all I wish you calm, peaceful thoughts as your surgery date draws nearer. Hope your recovery is swift and as painless as the surgery can be.

Melinda - Good luck to you on Thursday. I had WLS surgery 3 weeks ago tomorrow (down 25lbs), and I can say it is so worth it. I remember the last thing I said before I went under - I asked God to "walk with me". I'll be asking the he walks with you on Thursday. I hope there are no complications and you have a speedy recovery. Best wishes, Denise

Hi Melinda, My surgery date is set for October 2. I have no pre-op testing. I wonder should I call them and ask why not? I LOVED your list of why you chose to get the operation done. It was great. I'm wishing you luck on your surgery.
