Hello All !! Becca herself checking in at 5 days post op. First, Thank You to everyone that posted on my surgery date page. I am ecstatic to report that I am home and the healing is progressing nicely. For those of you just considering WLS, I encourage you to go for it. I would be happy to answer any questions pre-ops may have. I had the open RNY and so far I would definitely say that I would do it again. Note: Having someone at the hospital other than the hospital staff that cares for you is a must. There is no substitute for the love, caring and compassion that can be only provided by a loved one. I am so blessed in this area to have had my partner with me every step of the way. Blessings to all regardless of your status. Becca

Well your big day is almost here!! I would wish you luck but you will not need it, you have a great surgeon!! Dr. Leitman is a godsend and you will come thru this like a champ.

Hi! Becca checking in here, counting the 40 hours until my surgery Thursday morning, July 5th 9:30 in N.Y.C!! I am not afraid but I am anxious and excited at the same time. I have never been in the hospital so this will be a new experience for me but what awaits me on the "other side" sure looks good! Thank you to everyone that shares of themself on this website, it really helps us all, no matter our status. Please add me to your "positive thoughts and/or prayer list" :-) I will post again when I am home, and post-op! Hooray!
