Hello Cheryl, I wanted to tell you that you must not ever give up hope and faith. My fiancee', Keith Greenarch, who has a profile here as well has spent 92 days in the hospital since his initial procedure. He cannot walk right now, but he has only been conscious fully for about 3 weeks. He looks wonderful and he is working hard to return home. My prayer for you is inner strength, strong support, wisdom in curing and patience in caring on the part of your surgeon and the medical staff. God Bless..

Hi. Just wanted to thank everyone for their good wishes regarding my surgery. Special thanks to Karen Gates for being such a beautiful angel and my special friend B.J. I'm two-week post-op as of yesterday and I'm recovering nicely. Everyday holds special challenges: trying to get enough water in, wondering if what I'm eating is gonna bother me, etc. But I'm grateful that I had this surgery and grateful for the chance at a new life. Thank you to all who posted to my surgery page. You'll never know what your words of encouragement mean to me.

I talked to Cheryl today. She is feeling good, just having some pain when she moves around. She is on liquids, and is tolerating that well. She hopes to be able to go home tomorrow.

I tried to call and talk to some of your family and heard you were in the ICU. I immediately got worried because I couldn't get in touch with any of your family members. I was relieved to see it was routine after visiting your site. I am so sorry for not making it to the hospital the morning of your surgery like I wanted to. My three year old came down with a virus and I had to stay with her. At 7:00 I was praying for you just like I said I would. I'm glad to hear things are going well for you and look forward to meeting you someday.

Here's today's update on Cheryl from her husband: "Cheryl is in a regular, private room now. It's room 926 in Providence Hospital. Visiting hours are much more lax than they were in ICU, but she said she is very tired today and probably doesn't want visitors today. They had her sitting up in a chair since 10 a.m., so that was taxing. But, all in all, she is doing very well." Sounds like Cheryl is doing well--thanks for all the prayers! I probably won't post another update for a few days at least.

Just wanted to thank you for the updates about Cheryl W. I was "out of pocket" yesterday and missed my connection to find out how things went. When I called the hospital, they told me she was in ICU. I panicked because she hadn't mentioned the possibility. Then came here and read the post about it being routine. I pray that is true, and that she will be in a regular room soon. Thank you for being a whole "bunch of angels". Cheryl's friend, B.J.

Here is today's update from one of Cheryl's co-workers: "Here's an update on Cheryl as of 10:15 a.m. CST Wednesday. They are keeping her in ICU today because her creatine levels are "creeping up" and they want to monitor her kidneys. She's apparently in some pain and the morphine is not making her comfortable right now." Please continue to keep Cheryl in your thoughts and prayers!

Cheryl, I'm glad to hear that everything went well! You're now officially on the "losing" side! Welcome! This is the best gift that you could have ever given yourself!

I just heard from one of Cheryl's co-workers. She is on the other side!! She came through the surgery fine and is sleeping now. She will spend the night in ICU (routine procedure) and will be moved to a private room tomorrow. They are going to try to get her moving later today. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful posts to her surgery page and for all your prayers!
