Jeffery, I know the wait is sooooo hard, but it is worth it. I wish you all the best on your upcoming surgery. Hope you get your date asap. I had my open rny in Oct 2001 and have lost 215 lbs, my wife had hers in June of 2001 and has lost 110 lbs. It took us 1 1/2 yrs to get approved!!!!! Hope you get your date sooner than we did!!

I waited about 10 weeks all together, my suggestion is to call them and bug them. Just tell them flat out that you are getting tired of waiting :) I'd love to read your profile, do you intend to fill it out? I love reading the profiles on here:)

Jeffrey, you have every right to call the insurance company and ask them. I always like to think of a good reason to call... like.... "I wanted to be sure you had all the information you needed. It's been a little longer than I expected and wondered if I could help in any way?" I did this and they told me I had been approved! Of course I called them everyday.... Try that and see! Then have your surgeon call. I can imagine he is wondering as well? Good luck! Dawn
